The biggest storm activity Avondale, Goodyear, and the greater Phoenix area sees, is during our monsoon season which happens during the summer months. Occasionally, we’ll see the scattered storms during the fall and winter months but for the most part, the active rainstorms happen from June to September.

Now is the optimal time for storm preparation in the event of a power outage. When this occurs, your business’s productivity can be affected greatly. To avoid this, we put together a list of options to help keep your business up and running during a power outage.

Backup Generators

A commercial generator is a solution to have enough energy and power for your for your building for a limited time. Make sure you are properly trained on how to use a generator to avoid any malfunctions or fire hazards.

Use a UPS

A UPS is known as an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) that can prevent you from losing any unsaved data on your computer. A UPS provides emergency power drawn from the computers’ own batteries that allows you enough time to save your work and properly shut off your device.

Finding Offsite Wi-Fi Connections

When the power goes off, you lose connection to your Wi-Fi router. To resolve this, if you have a laptop running on it’s own battery, you can connect to other nearby Wi-Fi connections or you can create a hotspot from your mobile device.

All the above solutions aim to keep your business productivity in motion during a power outage so you don’t fall behind or disrupt your day to day processes.
